Couple-Owned
We are a couple-owned business looking to spread the flavors we create nationwide. We have been making BBQ for our friends for years, and they all loved it so much that we decided to sell our rubs and seasonings so everyone could enjoy them.
You may be wondering where the name Normal Chris BBQ comes from. It's a long-standing joke between Chris and Johnny Sr. Johnny owned a BBQ trailer called Crazy Johnny's BBQ, and after some friendly rivalry and razzing, Chris told Johnny Sr., "I'm going to make my own BBQ and call it Normal Chris BBQ because that other guy is CRAZY!"
And so began the first seasoning company on Hatteras Island.

Flavors for all
We started small with our three most popular and commonly used blends, (Orginal Rub, Southwest, and Mexican Rib Rub) but we are quickly expanding. We love to cook at home and make the flavors we can't find in the store. Our Southwest seasoning is one of our most popular blends that families seem to all agree on! However, Queen Anne's Revenge is a close second with a whole lot of spice and flavor.
